📸 Photography Spots in Tanjung Batu

Pantai Lubuk (Lubuk Beach)
This is the most popular beach in the area and your best bet for a sunset shoot. The beach is lined with coconut trees, and the light at golden hour is said to create an extraordinary panorama. As you walk toward the end of the beach, you’ll find large rocks that make excellent foreground elements for your shots. There’s also a lighthouse tower you can climb for an elevated view of the coastline.

The Port Area
The waterfront is busy with boats loading and unloading goods, offering authentic documentary-style photography. The “Selamat, Anda Sudah Sampai Di Pelabuhan Tanjung Batu Kundur” sign at the port is a classic arrival shot, especially if you’re traveling with family or friends.

Temples and Local Life
Tanjung Batu has two notable Chinese temples that offer quiet, culturally rich photo opportunities. Cetiya Sasana Kitri (福朝廟) is distinguished by a unique red calabash in front of the temple. Vihara Dharma Shanti Kundur (泰安廟) is spacious with guardian deities painted on the doors—a great spot for an evening stroll. The morning wet market on Jalan Merdeka is a hive of activity and a wonderful place to practice candid, street-style photography.

Sawang Beach
If you have time to explore further, Sawang Beach is known for its rocks, which often serve as a backdrop for photos. The location is considered perfect for sightseeing and photography.
